Want clarification on a topic in SAI LEELAAMRUTHAM
« on: July 24, 2013, 04:33:29 PM »
HI ,
I have been reading saileelamrutham for quite some time. I had a doubt regarding a topic and wanted to get it clarified since long, so thought this could be the right place to post it. In one of the chapters master garu suggests a person to keep aside a favorite item that he likes while eating and pray to baba. I tried understanding this a lot but couldn't get clarity on this. I would like dwarkanath garu to clarify me the essence of those divine words spoken by mastergaru.

Jai Sai Master !

Dear Prabhu garu,

Welcome to the Online presence of Sai Master !

Although your question has been addressed to Babugaru, I thought I would chime in with one of the threads where I answered earlier. Please refer to http://www.saimasterforums.org/general-discussion/leaving-favorite-food-to-baba/msg19177/#msg19177

On a second note, you could make use of search feature in the forums to come up with most of the queries that one usually has. A lot of discussions have taken place regarding many such questions, so please do go through earlier posts!

Thanks for the update... I am new to the forum so dint know that ... I shall follow it from my next posts.....

I have gone through the post. I understand that this could be a process by which we can control our mind. This can help people in their sadhana so that they can control their felling towards other wordly things. As Ramakrishna paramahamsa said that men should be able to control two desires 1.taste towards food 2. distracting feelings towards women. These two things he has mentioned as they could be of the  most importance to men.

Please correct me if I am wrong. I have actually started to follow this in one way wanted to clarify or understand before I start practicing it.

Jai Sai Master.

Prabhu garu,

Master garu asked His father Anantacharyulu garu this question why to offer one fistful of food before eating. We dont have the direct reference to that speech.

Essence of what Master garu explains is it is to express our thankfulness to the entire chain of events that happens for that food getting available to us - starting from a farmer prepares the land, sun gives light, rain gives water, some one packs it, someone transports it ... Same is about milk we drink. What happens if Cow gives only little milk needed for it's calf?

Master garu continues explaining about Baba's words 'Allah Malik'.

Closest speech we can share is

Jai Sai Master ...

I read about this in one of the books, and I understood why we need to keep fistful of what ever we eat outside. But my question here was why do we need to keep aside the food we like for baba. I can give an instance here...

For instance, I love sweets a lot and I once felt distracted by this while I was praying so I decided not to eat sweets anymore in my life, keeping them aside for baba. I am doing this because mastergaru has once said that if we like some food very much, and we are praying baba for somthing then we should keep it aside for baba saying that I have decided that until you give me that I will not eat that anymore...

Is this action which I am doing good or is it foolishness ? I dont want to follow it blindly I want the correct reasons for this.

Jai Sai Master.

Only thing we think of it is as a gesture of our shraddha towards the wish. Sai garu explained well in the referred thread.

Jai Sai Master!

Prabhugaru,

I still could not understand your question. However, I shall write what I think. If it does not solve your question, please do write.

If I want some wish fulfilled, the way to go about it is to do parayana. While doing Parayana, until our wish is fulfilled, we abstain from eating a particular item or vegetable. And when the wish is fulfilled, we cook that dish or vegetable the way we like, offer it to Baba, and to others, and then partake of it.

That is the process.
Now, is your question regarding how to do the above? Or is it regarding Why? Or is it regarding 'how and why does that work'?

Please clarify.

Jai Sai Master.

Surya garu, Ramalakshmi garu,

Bagunnara. It has been long time since we all met here. Happy to see all of you.

Very recently we started listening to Master gari speeches . Very first speech is about 'Samasyala parishkaramu-Baba'. Just became one of the audience sitting in front of Master garu. Master garu was completely occupied with many tasks at the time of giving this speech but could attend this venue. When we listened to the speech, we thought this may have answer to your question.

As of now we find there are multiple topics Master garu covers in this speech. First, how and what to do when there is a wish. Second how the wish gets fulfilled. Third what happens when the wish is not fulfilled. And the guidance to have the right attitude in between starting of a wish, fulfilling of wish and later once the wish is fulfilled. It was wonderful to listen to Master garu explaining about the story of two Bouddha Bikshuvulu. Feels like listening to it again and again.

We are planning to listen to Master garu at least couple more times. Please try to listen and share whether you get answer to your question. Till Babu garu explains we can try to contemplate and see how we far we can go.

Here is the link to the speech:

Jai sai master

Saiuttampallavi garu,

Thank you for sharing the link!
I heard more than half of the speech last night.  Had to rewind at a few places as the audio was not clear due to live recording.

It generally happens to me that I hear a speech and believe I understood it in full, but when I listen to the same speech after a few months I realize I missed an important thing and wonder how I missed it earlier.

I believe I will have to listen to this also a few number of times in spaced intervals to ensure I get it fully.

warm regards
Surya
