General Discussion / Some slokas
« on: September 25, 2013, 04:30:52 PM »
Jai Sai Master !

Another one from me!

I was thinking of the sloka "Gurur Brahma Guru Vishnu .. .." and was trying to visualize it. And it struck me why is there "Guru Brahma Guru Vishnu Guru Devo Maheswara" when we can directly say "Gurur saktshat Param Brahma Tasmai Sri Guruve Namah". Why should we use the first part of the sloka.

Secondly in the sloka "Guru Madhye sthitam viswam ...",  why dont we directly say "Guru vishwam nachanyothi...", what is the use of the first part ?

Dear all,

Long time since I posted anything here!!

And long time since we discussed spirituality :D

We all love Mastergaru and have immense faith and respect for Him. We do in tid bits  - Paaryana, aarti, satsang, sometimes tatwa chintana etc etc ..

But what is the "Sati leni Sai or SaiMaster Sampradayam" ? (Unparalleled Way of Sai or Sai Master ) ? In general we can say that it "satyaniveshna" - but how do we implement it. As a follower of Mastergaru, what should be our goal, what are we striving towards ?

Please share your views ..

General Discussion / Lovely quote by Sri Vivekananda Swamy

Jai Sai Master !

Dear all,

Came across this today,

Are you unselfish? That is the question. If you are, you will be perfect without reading a single religious book, without going into a single church or temple.
-Swami Vivekananda

Such an amazing statement!

The following is what I wrote in the "Daily Inspiration .." thread. That particular thread automatically links to the homepage of

So my kudos for that thread go here :)

Jai Sai Master !

Dear Lalithgaru!

I would like to appreciate this thread from the bottom of my heart. It has become such a part and parcel of my life that I just need to read what is written in it.

There is a small incident related to it. If I am not wrong you had written a quote from "Sri Siddharudha Swamy Charitra". Sometimes after reading the quote I also refer to the pages from where that quote has been taken so that I can know the context. So I started reading those pages. I had previously heard a few chapters from the same book, when Babugaru read it (way back in Malkajgiri), and I was really 'impressed' with the saint. Especially those incidences of Him sitting on the Nandi etc are also a bit humorous to read

So I got hooked on to the book and thought that I should probably read it from the beginning. I started reading from the beginning and being a slow reader in Telugu was able to read about 20-30 pages. During that time, it came to mind that somehow I should have Sri Siddharudha Swamy's krupa, probably visit Him. These were just passing thoughts, and nothing concrete.

Now see how the magic works. Within a fortnight or so we had the opportunity of visiting Gangapur and then ManikyaNagar with Pujya Ammagaru. On the last day, in Manikyanagar, we wanted to know if there were any places which we could visit, which were related to Sri Manik Prabhu, or if there were other spiritual sites to see near by. By pure chance some local people told us that there is the birthplace of Sri Siddharuddha Swamy within 30-40 kms !!

By Baba's blessing we were able to visit the place

A passing thought and Baba answers it ! For me this thread needs no more validation

I just hope that this thread continues forever and ever. My heartfelt thanks to Lalithagaru for going on with this thread

Dates and Events / Mastergaru Brahmanubhutiki 50 Vaarshikotsavam (Tithi)

Jai Sai Master !

Dear Saibandhus,

Feb 26th, 2013 marks 50 years (according to lunar calendar) since Pujya Mastergaru experienced Samadhi at the Holy MahaSamadhi of Sai Baba (at Shirdi). It is very difficult to assess how that one experience has been changing the lives of countless.

As this year is also being celebrated as "Prabhanjana Nama Samvatsaram", the devotees in Nagole are doing a 7 day dikha ending on February 25th. All of us have moved a common place and are living together, doing aartis, bhajans, saamohika paarayana and partaking prasadam together.

The aim is to feel the continuous presence of Mastergaru in each activity we do, doing His smarna constantly.

Those who are here in this deeksha might not be able to participate frequently in the discussions in Forums

Hope all of us are in some or the other diksha, trying to live the life that He lived for our sake. The least that we can do as a sign of gratitude.

Master Ekkirala Bharadwaja / Master's Life and Teaching
« on: January 24, 2013, 06:30:00 AM »
Jai Sai Master !

Dear Sai bandhus,

I try to speak for everyone here when I say that we do not understand spirituality. There are days when we think we know what it is about and atleast we know the way forward. But there are weeks when we are clueless and really dont know what to do.  Add to this, there are months when even this thought doesnt come. We might keep doing Paarayana or aarti, completely mechanically. We 'know' when it comes to telling others and solving their problems, but in our own life, in our own limited spheres we are as confused as ever.

Amidst all this darkness, there is Mastergaru and His Teachings, the enternal light to our darkness. Sporadically the urge to understand life, spirituality keeps sprouting in us whenever we read His articles, or remember Him or during that rare 'seriousness' that we get in satsangs or during Paaryana.

But even this is not sufficient to most of us. THe light dies away soon enough for most of us. We think we have solved a few pockets of problems, but the overall, things are much the same.

And sometimes we think very deeply, what did Mastergaru really teach? And more importantly, how to apply His "fragmented" teachings (FRagmented to us) to make life a single continuum of improvement. I say 'fragmented' because when we read say "Swadhyayam - Pravachanabhyam", we understand a particular facet of spirituality, but do not understand (atleast obviously) what to talk to a stranger who has put glaring music on his newly acquired china dual sim mobile phone!

Similarly when MAsteragru says  " .. THis is spirituality" , we accept it. AGain vociferously HE says somewhere else ".. This is spirituality". And we accept that too. But when we put both of them side by side, we do not know what exactly is spirituality. So there are many unconnected parts in our own understanding. These become much more obvious when we try to implement them.

So, my question, what did Mastergaru teach? What is the step by step way in which we should proceed along what HE taught ?

Inspirational Quote on Jan 1st, 2013

Such a nice find by Lalithagaru!

What struck me is that, what do we even know about Mastergaru and the depth of His teachings that we can even comprehend the 'essence' of it !! And based on that we have to change our thoughts and action!

Sometimes it feels that Mastergaru keeps dropping pointers here and there to gauge one's own progress (or rather lack of it). Really wonderful!

Hope this year leads us all closer to that !!

General Discussion / JK and Master!
« on: December 20, 2012, 11:14:35 AM »
Jai Sai Master !

From the Book "Commentaries on Living" Third Series, by Jiddu Krishnamurti, page 178

"To find the truth, or God, there must be neither belief nor disbelief. The believer is as the non-believer' neither will find the truth, for their thought is shaped by their education, by their environment, by their culture, and by their own hopes and fears, joys and sorrows. A mind that is not free from all these conditioning influences can never find the truth, do what it will."

I loved this statement by JK. Resonates with Mastergaru saying that neither aastikalu nor naastikulu, he prefers only aniveshakulu in Vignana Veechikulu. "Commentaries on living" is  wonderful series of books where JK Himself talks about what the people come and discuss with Him and how He responds. Each such narrative starts with a description of the nature - the settings about Him. This particular narrative seemed very interesting as He talks about 'search' - which I believe can be replaced by the word inquire.

Dates and Events / Sri Krishnashtami - August 9th, 2012
« on: August 09, 2012, 09:19:35 AM »
Jai Sai Master !

Sri Krishnashtami wishes to all!

When Mastergaru came to know about Baba, He also looked in the lives of other saints of all the traditions (and He read thousands of such life histories). He was amazed to find that the 'leelas' that Baba had 'performed' compared favourable with those of Sri Krishna !

Sri Sai Baba is no different from Sri Krishna. So on this holy day, let we know that their blessings are always with us and that need only realize this :)
