Hearts Out / A brief answer to a Homeo-critic
« on: December 16, 2017, 12:49:08 AM »
Jai Sai Master, Babu garu!
Jai Sai Master, Sai Bandhus!

I felt I needed to post this here. Get my "Argumentative-blood" flowing again!  ;D ;D ;D The following is a short answer by a critic to a parent who wanted some Homeo-based solution for his child's ADHD.

Craig Good, The more I learn about confirmation bias the more I see it everywhere.
Updated Aug 31

No such “medicine” exists. Homeopathy is complete, utter, irredeemable bullshit. Don't even think of treating a child with it. For anything. Anybody trying to sell you on homeopathy is either an idiot or thinks that you are. Get them to an actual, medical doctor for actual medicine. Failure to do so is child abuse.

Here's my answer.

Tunnel vision and Closed minds!

I can say the same - “double-blind, placebo-controlled study” termed as bull-shit. This is a never-ending argument on both sides which I see as a waste of breath. Do you mean to say “Actual Medical doctor” working for billion-dollar drug companies advertising “talk to your doctor if you want to die in the next few years by suppressing the ADHD by taking RITALIN”?? Do you mean to say "Talk to your doctor about DRUGS but not about most media and technology making it difficult for a child to be himself/herself"? Do you mean to say "talk to your doctor about DRUGS but not about Yoga or Mindful Meditation"? Do you mean to say "talk to your doctor about REAL DRUGS which will get the kid hooked on for the rest of their lives and 'feel better' as long as they take the drugs"?

Have some vision sir! Step aside from the "scientific" bull-shittery that is happening right now in the very Corporations and institutions which are supposed to move the REAL SCIENCE forward but only move the money!! No amount of your lecture will ever convince me to go against olden medical systems like Ayurveda, Chinese Medicines, Homeopathy and such which I have been a recipient and also a observer of.

And finally, "Abuse"? Are you joking? The very fact that a child will be put on life-long drugs for ADHD is child abuse. Naah!! A Human abuse! I am all for integrative approach. I am all for surgery, life-saving drugs for a sudden trauma like accidents, heart attacks, severed limbs etc. But for chronic problems, I absolutely do not agree with you.

I know it's not good enough but somehow my blood boils when "borlinchina kundalu" talk about an olden system without doing any homework.

Thank you Admin team for bringing the forums back online. This is the place I reach out frequently for my introspection times.  :) :) :)

Honestly, I don't like FB to discuss what is truly important to us. I know we each go "off the grid" every once in a while but still ......I like this medium better than social media.

Jai Sai Master, Babu garu!
Jai Sai Master, Sai Bandhus!

Dearest Babu garu, namaskaaram. It's been a long time that I posted something here. I know you have moved on to FB keeping with times  :) :) As Sri Sai says "jaisa des waisa bes" :-)

Sai Bandhus, I once in a while, go back to the university called "SaiMasterForums" and read randomly. It gives me happiness!! Infact, I was searching for the word "Randomized" and boy oh, boy, was I glad!!!

I wanted to share the following excerpt from an argument/discussion about GM foods. Our dearest one of "the then member"... and Babu garu were discussing about GM food.

Here's one of the questions posed by him to Babu garu.
Regarding backyard vegetables, how practical is it for 4 billion world population.

And here's the answer from Babu garu.

This is interesting. Why do you think it is not practical?

I think its quite practical to the people above the poverty line. If each house can supply its own basic veggies, it saves a lot more to be given to those below the poverty line. With appartments everywhere, theres not much 'backyard' now a days, but still, those that have it could use it. I started my own backyard plants, right now Mother takes care of them, but eventually,  when I have a backyard like what we have in Ongole, i would plant enough stuff there that it would suffice me (minus oil, salt, rice, pulses and some other stuff) and give me enough to feed some other people. Atleast I am that much less of a burdain on the society, ain't I?
I dream of watering them chanting Baba's name and then eating them as His prasadam. I am positive (although I need to test it yet) it will do my spiritual practice a lot of good.

this was posted on September 7, 2009. 5+ years down the line, I have seen numerous videos and pictures, read too many blogs and articles posted by Babu garu. And I can say HE has delivered 1000% more than what He has claimed in the above quote. Totally naturally, totally organically, and totally spiritually.

Not just Babu garu. Many many many....many other people have started this revolution. And this is not hearsay. I have seen it myself.

NOW.....Just because I dug this out and posting it again, I am not saying this. It goes beyond that. And what I am saying is, GM food is pure BS! It's not an "end-all-hunger" science. For now AND for me, (I will do the blasphemy against science and I will say it) is a "get rich quick" science. Nothing more than that.

All those corporations and "scientists" and the capitalists who were in this band wagon and let the atrocities done on an entire generation of people on earth....let's just hope mother nature will forgive them!! May the real-saatvic-natural-spiritual-goodnatured farmer take care of this place called "Earth"! And may the universe provide me the energy, intelligence, and the power to be a small tool to such farmers.

PS: I am not posting the link here because I do not intend to hurt anyone on purpose.

Kids - The Future / Doubt from my daughter

Jai Sai Master, Sai Bandhus!

Dearest Babu garu and Sai Bandhus,

Belated wishes of Vijaya Dasami to all. I have a question that I needed some answers and I was hoping (as I usually do) that I would get the answers from here, THE SOURCE :)

My daughter (10 year old) asked me "on Baba's maha samadhi day, why do we celebrate when HE has gone away from us physically? ISn't that a sad day? Because we cannot see Him anymore. Then why do we celebrate?"

I gave her the examples (quoting Sai Leelamrutam) of Baba wanting us to see Him in all things, all persons and in all situations. For that to happen, He had to leave His physical form but He is always available for those who think of HIM day and night everyday. I told her that to reach that stage we have to do Parayana of His Life History with Bhakti but also to follow what He taught.

I know my answer is half baked, error-prone, and probably inaccurate but ....really....why do we celebrate the samadhi of great Saints?

Best Regards to all,

To Nagole SaiMaster brindamu and Forums team, Jai Sai Master!

Can you please give me (or point me in the correct direction) to find the lyrics of the song sung by Sri Vedamma garu on Sri Datta Jayanthi Celebrations and Release of Braille Edition of 'Sri Sai Leelamrutamu' of year 2011?

It starts with "Datta Datta Datta....Shrushti sthithi laya kaaraka datta". It is available here on youtube. and it starts about past 56.35.

With Master gari blessings, I want to write it down, print it, and sing it in the Sai Baba temple here.

Jai Sai Master, Sai Bandhus!

Dearest Babu garu,

In one of the other threads, I was mentioning about Sri Sai Baba temple being finally open in our city of Calgary.

Now that Baba has arrived in the temple, I request Master garu, Amma garu, Vedamma garu & family, and Babu garu to give us your blessings.

I also request Sri Chaitanya Swamyji to give us His blessings. (I have always tried my best to imagine the 5 of YOU as one single consciousness coming down to Earth and so I am requesting all of YOUR blessings).

I request that a nice satsangam group be formed here and that we carry forward what Master garu wanted us to do. For now, it is just me and Mrs. Sharada Tadiparti garu who are Master's devotees here in Calgary. Nobody else knows about Master garu and HIS books. In time, my wish is for Master to make this a good satsangam group.

I also request Amma garu to bless me that I never lose my energy in spreading Master's teachings no matter how hard I need to work on it.

In my heart, I will imagine/think that YOU all are coming to the temple to sit beside Baba.

I bow to you in happiness and gratitude!

with lots and lots and lots of love,
Jai Sai Master!

Hearts Out / Some news to share with Sai Bandhus!

Jai Sai Master, Babu garu!
Jai Sai Master, Sai Bandhus!

Dearest Babu gru and Sai Bandhus, I have one happy news to share. The city I am living in (Calgary, Canada) has finally finally finally......finally got into the grove and finalized a place to construct Baba temple.

It's been a long time that I waited for something like this to happen. It is a fairly decent place, both looks and size wise. Baba's idol has already arrived. We are running against time to do "pratishtaapanam" of our Baba on the dais. I have been excited since the last one week and been spending time to do painting, cleaning up the facilities etc etc.

I have many many many plans the fruits of which will take a long time but I just want to start it.

I am in a tricky situation. There are several "schools of thought" within Baba-fold devotees. I need to find the right situation, the right balance and most importantly the right time to start exposing the devotees to the honey called "SAI MASTER"!!! Believe me, out of 10 Sai devotees, I can say there are 9.5 who do not know that SAI MASTER is a honey (the 0.5 being me  :) ). I am not here to judge them. Heck I don't even want to think of judging them.

My work is to introduce all the books of our Master garu and also Sai Baba magazines to the temple goers. We even have the challenges of how to start and maintain the Sacred Dhuni Maharaj. It is a big challenge in this part of the world where it is 6 months cold winter, 3 months summer and 3 months shoulder season.

I will definitely appreciate all your suggestions to make this a successful project.

But overall, our Master has listened to me and blessed me with this opportunity. May HE stay with me, push me to greater causes and work. All I want is to realize His idea of how I should live, at-least 1%!!

Best Regards,
Jai Sai Master!

General Discussion / My prayers on behalf of the forum members

Jai Sai Master, Babu garu!
Jai Sai Master, Sai Bandhus!

Dearest online Sai Bandhus,

I want to share with you what I did so far with my trip to India.

There have been three major parts to my trip.

1) Nagole Sandarsanamu
2) Shirdi Sanarsanamu
3) Ongole Sandarsanamu

And all three have been stupendously successful. I am completely happy, completely energized, and going back a happy man, a richer man.

1) I attended the festival of Master's Janma dinamu (according to thithi) at Nagole. It was a whole day event. All I can say is I remembered the words from Leelamrutamu "atuvanti drusyamu varnanaatheethamu". I cannot explain in words. I got the darsan of Amma garu & Babu garu and Master was as usual, all over the place.

Babu garu did great satsangamu which will last me several lifetimes. I am not trying to escape by saying that this is enough. No it will never be enough. For me, the more someone tells me about Master garu, the more blissfull I feel. It is not enough.

I stoof before Master garu at Nagole, and I prayed to Him on behalf of the entire Forum members. I requested Master garu and HIS family to never ever ever leave us. I prayed to THEM that they lead us in the correct path and give us the correct knowledge. I prayed to Master garu that we should all discuss more fervently about mahatmas and their teachings.

2) The shirdi trip. What can i say Sai bandhus? What can I say? At Nagole, Babu garu said that those who went to Mahatmas with Master's blessings and acknowledgement, the darsanamu of mahatmas was not only fantastic but it is out of this world. Babu garu said that it is like a "certification"....."raja mudra". Well, THE EXACT SAME THING HAPPENED TO ME. I am not trying to bragg about my trip. I just wanted to tell that Master's certification gave me a great darsanamu of Sri Sai.

I stayed at Shirdi for 3 nights 4 days. I attended 3 aaratis and 4 darsans. Everything was fruitful to the fullest extent. During one of those Aratis, I again prayed to Baba & Master garu on behalf of all the forum members. I requested for the same blessings as I did in Nagole.

3) I just returned from Ongole trip and had great darsan of Master garu. For the third time I asked on behalf of forum members and did 11 pradakshinas.

So there it is Sai Bandhus. I wanted to share the details of my trip and that's why I am typing everything here.

Dearest Babu garu, Jai Sai Master! I wish I could send you a private message but I believe the private messages are blocked. I don't feel sad Babu garu. Because I know YOUR work of SaiMaster prachaaramu is more global and important. It would be my selfish motive to seek even a "hello" from you just for my sake. So, I silently bow to you in my heart with the same selfish motive to seek your attention.

Best Regards to all,
Jai Sai Master!

Jai Sai Master, Sai Bandhus..

Dearest Babu garu, I stumbled upon this link which gave shivers down  my spine. I could not share this either on my facebook or anywhere else because I am in North America.

Is there hope Babu garu? is there hope for people to get quality food again? atleast for those who can afford it? or am I thinking on wrong lines?

The best that I can do is to share this link personally and hope/ask them to forward so that we all can make informed decisions that enables us to lead a good life as well as help each other in the society that we live.

How to empower ourselves? How to educate ourselves? How to help ourselves?

Your post on FB last month was so good I forwarded to many people. The post where You asked us to think what we are giving to our kids and to ourselves.

Please post such thought-provoking post regularly Babu garu.

Best Regards,
Jai Sai Master!

Jai Sai Master, Babu garu!!
Jai Sai Master, Sai Bandhus!!

Just wanted to share this funny yet "philosophical and spiritual" joke.

On the first day, God created the dog and said, "Sit all day by the door of your house and bark at anyone who comes in or walks past. For this, I will give you a life span of twenty years."

The dog said, "That's a long time to be barking. How about only ten years and I'll give you back the other ten?"

And God saw it was good.
On the second day, God created the monkey and said, "Entertain people, do tricks, and make them laugh. For this, I'll give you a twenty-year life span."
The monkey said, "Monkey tricks for twenty years? That's a pretty long time to perform. How about I give you back ten like the dog did?"

And God, again saw it was good.
On the third day, God created the cow and said, "You must go into the field with the farmer all day long and suffer under the sun, have calves and give milk to support the farmer's family. For this, I will give you a life span of sixty years."

The cow said, "That's kind of a tough life you want me to live for sixty years. How about twenty and I'll give back the other forty?"

And God agreed it was good.

On the fourth day, God created humans and said, "Eat, sleep, play, marry and enjoy your life. For this, I'll give you twenty years."

But the human said, "Only twenty years? Could you possibly give me my twenty, the forty the cow gave back, the ten the monkey gave back, and the ten the dog gave back; that makes eighty, okay?"

"Okay," said God, "You asked for it."

So that is why for our first twenty years, we eat, sleep, play and enjoy ourselves. For the next forty years, we slave in the sun to support our family. For the next ten years, we do monkey tricks to entertain the grandchildren. And for the last ten years, we sit on the front porch and bark at everyone.

Reminds me of Sri Guru Charitra where the famous poet is afflicted with a skin ailment and he brings out the same point....."baalyam aatalalo....yavvanamu madam tho...vridhaapyamu balam ksheeninchadam tho gadichipotundi...aina kuda mimmalni telusukolekapotunnaaru...."

General Discussion / Questions about Martial Arts lessons
« on: January 10, 2013, 05:58:28 AM »
Jai Sai Master, Babu garu..
Jai Sai Master, Sai Bandhus..

Dearest Babu garu and Sai Bandhus, I have a couple of questions for you. With the saying "it's never too late to learn anything" I would like to join Martial Arts classes and my intention is that both I and my 8 year old daughter are looking to join.

The goal is for both of us to develop and improve, (1) Self-discipline (mental & physical) (2) self-confidence (mental & physical) (3) Focus.

My questions:

1) What to look for in a teacher?
2) Which Martial arts are best for both of us? (Karate, Judo, Tae-kwon-do etc)

Best regards to all,
Jai Sai Master!

Kids - The Future / Two moments with my kids: One funny and one thoughtful
« on: December 17, 2012, 02:12:02 AM »
Jai Sai Master, Babu garu..
Jai Sai Master, Sai Bandhus..

Just wanted to share two moments that happened this morning and yesterday with my kids.

1) My 4 year son was not eating Banana and so I took one banana and tried to coax him to eat it by competition. I told him several times "Santosh will be second, dad will win. Santosh will be second Dad will win". He thought about it for a moment and coolly and calmly said "yes, Dad will win."  :o Just to be sure I asked him "do you really want dad to be the first or you want to be first in eating Banana?". Without even a second thought he said "dad is first".  :-X

In a way, I guess dad is lost because son does not want to take up the challenge. Kids!!!

2) Yesterday, I took my kids to science museum and we were watching "weather in the solar system" in the dome theater. My 8 year old daughter asked me "is there life on Mars". I said, "no". She asked similar question for other planets and my answer was a single words 'no'. She thought about it and asked me "if there is no life on those planets, why did God create it?

Perhaps, my answer was really awful. After coming out, I then went on to explain later to the best of my ability. I said "currently" there is no life on Mars as studied by humans. Once upon a time Mars used to be like Earth and so there could have existed life. I also explained to her that God could have created Mars and yet there is no life there which would gives us a chance to study "un-livable" planets. It also gives us chance to thank and respect the Earth and its delicate nature which supports life. On top of that, God created rocks on Earth and infact Earth itself is a type of HUGE rock. Over a really long period of time, life could start or end as per the laws of the universe on any planet.

I know this got her thinking and also I know that the answer is not good enough but wanted to find out from Sai Bandhus, what other ways to introduce kids to astronomy in the right way?

Jai Sai Master!
