I can almost categorically say that if Master were to come in front of me, I would still forget that He is is Dattaswaroopa (atleast some times) because of my conditioning. I guess that's how Masters of the universe work on Earth. The "dirty" magic works on me to ensure that I forget THEM. As soon as THEY are gone from Earth physically, then I realize and regret. What's the use?

Jai sai master, Ananth garu

Will master garu allow the dirty magic to work on you/and fellow Devotees? :) No, never...

BTW Dear Ananth garu, on the other side, you are always humble/gentle in your posts AND
always place yourself down to earth, with no AHAM at any aspect;
Also, you never show ?hard? in your words even under any provocation.

Best Best wishes to you.

Jai sai master

Jai Sai Master.

Please tell me how to upload images to this forum.

Chakravarthy garu, Jai Sai Master.

AFAIK, we cannot upload images to Forums, we can only display images!

For displaying images, we need to upload them to any existing image-hosting websites like "picasaweb.google.com", "imageshack.us" or "flickr.com". Then, in your posting in Forums, specify the direct url to each image in between tags; (Note that I inserted spaces inside square brackets of those tags just to make the tags visible in this posting, so please remove those spacings when using them for specifying the path to images.) In case you have difficulties in knowing the path to the image to be inserted, right-click on that image, and click on "copy link location" option; then paste that link between the above two tags.

Jai Sai Master. I found the following matter about Brahma Sri Tadepally Raghava Narayana Sastry garu while browsing the internet. I found 2 parts which I combined into a single part. Other than some advertisement on astrology, I did not edit or delete anything from those posts. The matter is as I found it. I hope this topic is relevant and useful.

The following introduction is of the author of this article, Sri Shreeram Balijepalli garu.

?A Telugu Vaideeki Velanadu brahmin, my Gurunatha is Rajagopala Swamy of Nanganallur Sarvamangala Rajarajeshwari  Ashramam. I have been initiated into Srividya Margam and my father and mother are Sri Balijepalli Devendra Shankar Garu (a Dattaupasaka and direct disciple of Swaprakashananda Datta- Athivarna-Avadhutha) and Srimathy Balijepalli Vidhyavathy Garu. I have finished my MBA in USA and currently reside in Toronto working as Business Analyst. My Upasya Devatha is Rajarajeshwari Parabhattarika Devatha.?

BrahmaSri Tadepalli Raghavanarayana Shastry Garu -
Jeevitha Charitra

Part‐1
By Shreeram Balijepalli, Canada

Let me narrate the great story of one Srividya Upasaka who lived in Andhrapradesh in a series of postings. Those who even hear this story will attain the blessings of Goddess Sri Rajarajeshwari Devi. I can hit the ground thrice and say this with certainty.

It is said that the following categories:
1. Karanajanmas
2. Shaapagrasthaas
3. Yogabrashthas

are born again, finish whatever divine tasks they have been ordained to do, finish
their prarabdha (good or bad) and then become Keerthisheshaas (ending of their
lives in divine glory). In this category was this Mahapurusha BrahmaSri Tadepalli Raghavanarayana Shastry Garu. He was born in Chandavolu Gramam in Guntur district in Andhrapradesh. He lived from 1896 to 1990 (Born as per Hindu Calendar in 1818 Shaalivahana shaka, Durmukha Nama Samvatsaram Shravana Bahula Vidiya Mangalavaaram in Vrushabha Lagna night time‐‐25‐8‐1896 born in Gorontla near Guntur in his mother's place.). He was called lovingly "Chandavolu Shastry Garu"(Vyavahaara Naamam). He was born as the first son to Venkatappayya Shastry.
Venkatappayya Garu was a great Vedakala Rishisamaan, paramanishtaa, Shaastra Kovida and Mahaakavi. His Sanskrit texts are four in number, Andhra kruthis are 20 in number. All magnum opus of that age. He founded the Sanskrit Pathashala and ran the organization for 40 years without kula‐matha bheda, taught Sanskrit and other shastras to those interested, also conducted annadana to all including the vidhyaarthis (students) ‐‐before being taken over by Shankara Vidyalaya. To such an illustrious father was this shining star Chandavolu selected by Amba to be given
a rightful birthplace. His Aksharabhaaysam was conducted in the fifth year. For an unknown reason at that age itself, he was given the Bala Tripura Sundari mantra by
Tadikonda Vaasi Kedaralinga Ayyavaru Garu (1880‐1941 AD). The young boy started doing the japa of Goddess Bala from that age till the age of 16 and due to this Balaambika used to respond to this Boy's call every time miraculously!

He learnt Tarka (Logic) from Dendhukoori Paanakaala Narasimha Shastry and Siddhantha Koumudhee from Taadikonda Muddhigonda Naagalinga Shaastry. He finally topped his education from Seetharama Shastry Garu of Podili with Mantra‐Tantra Shastra. All this was apart from Veda Vedanga knowledge being received from his father. After all this education, he decided to take up Sanyaasa deeksha even before he was an adult. his made his father Venkatappayya a bit worried. ?Why does this Balaka want to take up sanyaasa at this young age? Why this early detachment to things worldly? Have I not married? Will marriage impede his spiritual activities?' Thinking thus, he set upon to venture into the child's past birth. Now, there was one person by the name of Govindarajulu Seethaaramayya Shastry. His wife was a great yogini and her name was Shyamalaamba. She pronounced emphatically "There is a Surya Mandala Antharvarthi (a yogi in Surya Mandala etheric sphere) who was born thus." As Venkatappayya was worried on this count, he himself dreamt a strange dream in which his step‐mother showed his son (Chandavolu Shastry Garu) as a great Siddha and that Goddess Sri Chakreshwari Kameshwari Devi standing near the boy. Beside her there were Yuvathis (young women) and Amba asked one of the girls to go near Him. She came and she
seated herself on her own accord on his lap. He began to quiver a bit and Amba smiled and said "Your mind has perturbed a bit because of this young woman. Both of you go and be born as human beings and marry each other and then come back here after your karmic thing is over". The above dream confirmed that Chandavolu Shastry (his son) was not an ordinary child and that there was a reason for His karma. Venkatappayya was amazed when at the age of 19 Chandavolu Shastry changed his decision from becoming a monk to suddenly marrying a very beautiful girl Parvathy (who was the daughter of Adepalli Mangamma and Paapayya Shastry). The reason for his amazement was that the beautiful girl (who looked like a
devakanya) was exactly the same girl who came in his dream (?Acchappu‐roopam?) as shown by his step‐mother!!

He knew within his heart (which he revealed later) that both of them came from Surya Mandala (a Deva Bhoomi in an etheric plane) as Karanajanmis. Shaapagrasthaa is a rude word here because Amba did not give any curse but wanted the Karma of Her child to be annihilated and transcended with the girl and the girl's karma with him and then come back to Surya Mandala. As Surya Mandala being a pure land it does not entertain a single thought of Kaama and thus both their kaarmic vibrations should not affect other upasakas there. After marriage, Chandavolu Shastry Garu renamed his wife as "Sri Devi". He started helping Venkatappayya in his day to day dealings in the Sanskrit Pathashala. Seeing his dedication some people in America too asked him to come to USA. But Chandavolu Shastryji did not like this idea. He used to spend time in the educational activities and also added few more spirituo‐intellectual feathers to his divine cap like doing Netraavadhaanam with Pinapaati Veerabhadrayya Shastry and also Kavithwa sadhana with Eleshwara Purushotthama Shastry Garu. Luckily, Chandavolu Shastryji knew the Governor in those days and whenever he had some work regarding Vedas or temple activities, he used to get it done easily through the Governors orders. Shastry Garu, toured the country and Andhra and did won many
intellectual debates and finally he came home. But the financial situation in home was not good. Their family used to take one meal per day to save money. Apart from that they had a Rs.10,000/‐ debt (which was quite a huge sum those days) and also pecuniary troubles with the pathashala. Once the situation took a worse turn insomuch as not having food for three days in a row! Then, on the third day night Shastry Garu started to do Lalitha Sahasranama Archana in a temple nearby to the tune of 27 times! He did not have any Naivedya to give Ammavaru, so He gave just water as naivedya and sipped that alone as mahaprasada and slept there itself after neatly spreading his Angavastra on the temple slab. He had a miraculous dream in which he saw a ten year old girl who came to him and playfully said, ?Hey! I will give you what you are begging. Just open your angavastram a bit wide. Hehe! (she giggled)". The playful girl poured a fistful of rice grains in it and said, "A vehicle will come, board it and go". miraculously in the morning itself Kazeepalem Seethaaramaraju Garu?s (local king) vehicle came and picked Shastry Garu for Purana‐kathakalakshepa in Raju Garu's house. When he came home tired, he saw that Raju Garu had given rice grains in a rice bag to his house, which arrived before him. From that day on, Chandavolu Shastry Garu did not have any want.

One incident of his childhood reflects the later quality mentioned above. As a small kid, once he was eating groundnuts in his aunt?s (mennattha) house. His aunt spoke harshly about his avariciousness to eat groundnuts. From that day onwards; he not only did not touch groundnuts but also did not use groundnut oil not even for cooking in his house. Also, once while he was travelling in a train. Some arrogant  youngsters, who were smoking cigarettes, did not allow him to sit next to the window (which was his rightful reserved seat). From then he did not go on trains except once for Kasi prayanam. (The whole journey being spent by standing near the door and sleeping next to it instead of in his seat!)

Part 2.

Chandavolu Shastry had in possession by now Ashtamaadhi siddhis (the 8 miraculous powers). However, he never even once used them despite facing many monetary and other calamities. He used to take it in a spiritual way and say that it was all because of 'Praarabdha Karma'. Such was His greatness. His Mantra‐Yogas and stories are actually very strange stories. Only His disciples Noori Satyanarayana Sharma & Noori Bhogeeshwara Sharma alone knew His powers in depth. Let me narrate a few such miraculous incidents here. Now, miracles are a natural order of divinity. There is no such thing as a higher or lower order of miracles and every expression of miracle is the love of Devi manifest. Chandavolu Shastry had studied in a school (Vedapathashaala) and that was filled with ghosts! ('Deyyala Kompa')

They never dared to come in the morning when the Vedic vibrations were present, however they frequented the School in the night. So, no one stayed at night in the School due to this fear. Once what happened was when Chandavolu Shastry
was sleeping in the School premises, the students by mistake locked the door and went away. That night one naked female spirit (Digambari) with disheveled hair came near the sleeping saint. Chandavolu Shastry Garu seeing her, started reciting Devi's mantra and the Digambari asked him to shut up. But he defied her and started reciting it loudly and she could not even come near him and gave shrieking voices and ran away from the place never to be seen again!

Another Miracle:
In those days, Chandavolu Shastry being an expert in Mantra‐oushadi (Mantric Herbs) had a desire to get 'Mayuri Shiki' a very rare herb. This herb was available only during the time of a complete lunar eclipse atop a hill and that too upon the recital of a mantra. Those who possessed the herb would be able to control and attract anyone. So, Chandavolu Shastry Garu out of curiosity reading in a Shastra wanted to try the efficacy of the herb. Chandavolu Garu went up the hill at the given time and started reciting the mantra and saw the shining miracle‐herb and when he was about to pluck it a three‐headed young boy appeared and the boy prevented him from taking the herb. The boy said, "You have no need for this herb as people when they even see your face will become attracted by you and your power" He tried to convince the boy that He was taking the herb only on experimental basis but the boy did not yield and as they were arguing, the eclipse time elapsed and the herb stopped shining and disappeared. The three headed boy also smiled and disappeared.

Chandavolu Shastry reconciled to the fact that it was not in His karma
to get the herb and climbed down the hill. Later he came to know that Lord Dattatreya Swami was In charge (Adhipathy) for the herb! So, the three headed boy was none other than Bala‐Datta! (Dattatreya in Child form) He deemed it His good fortune to see Baladatta even without seriously trying!

Chandavolu Shastry Garu had the good fortune of meeting his poorvajanma (past birth) friend who was now a great yogi. The yogi (whose name is purposely kept anonymous) appeared before Him and said "Look at everything which happens in this material world with equanimity and I will appear after 50 years?. So saying he disappeared. 50 Years later, Shastryji went to Guntur and was doing Pranayama in his room. Since he was an expert at Pranayama he began to levitate and suddenly he began to fall to the ground head‐down and then exactly at that moment the yogi appeared and saved Chandavolu Shastry Garu and blessed Him. The moment Shastryji prostrated before Him, He vanished.

At this stage, let me tell all that this story did not occur in 5th century BC but happened from 1900‐1990!! So, all these miracles you read happened as recently till 1990.This gives us some hope. Ok, now coming back to the pertinent story, Venkatapppayya Shastry Garu had gone to Kailasham (expired) and His 'Shreerama Kathaamrutham' was being printed by Chandavolu Shastry Garu. In the Ayodhyaa‐Kaandam, Shastryji had a writer's block. He could not complete one particular poem which was an explanation to the Gayathri mantra. Each Syllable of the mantra was attempted to be written in poetic form by Him. He struggled with the syllable "Bha" and got stuck there. Shastryji prayed His Upsaya‐devatha (Rajarajeshwari Tripurasundari) and then drifted into sleep. He had a weird dream while he slept. In the dream one Bibi‐Jaganmohini appeared and she was in a sleeping pose and one 30 year old bearded man came fast running to Her and opened her jacket and started drinking milk from her breasts! Shastry Garu was flabbergasted while witnessing this in the dream. The lady looked so Huge and very Divine and He had no clue who She was. She said to Him, "Why are you standing there?" He replied in his dream "Can I also get some Mother's milk from you?" At that instant, he awakened from sleep and started getting the words in free flow as in "Bharma Maya Ramya Harmyamu..." And finished his Novella easily. He used to write from then on is such a frenetic pace that while the proofs of one chapter was being printed, He used to finish by night itself another chapter!

Till date no one knew, who the lady was and who the 30 year old bearded man was. The significance of the dream can be cognized as Shastry Garu drinking the milk of wisdom from Paradevatha's divine breasts itself just like the 'Dravida Sisu' of Saundarya Lahiri (Thirugnana Sambandhar‐Child saint Nayanmar) Chandavolu ketharaju Subbarao Garu did not have progeny. He took his wife to Rayaveluru and showed to a Western Doctor there and the doctor declared that she would not be able to conceive. The couple took refuge at the feet of Chandavolu Shastryji. He then gave her for a year Prasad (Theerthabhoothulu' ‐ meaning Theertha Prasadam. 'bhoothulu' has an utterly corrupt meaning these days in Telugu, the word has no connection with that word. This word is an ancient Telugu word though. However,
etymologically speaking both, come from the word "Bhutha" as in Panchabhutha.).

She became pregnant and went to Rayaveluru Hospital for delivery! The Doctor who said she is a barren woman was flabbergasted and checked her again and again! She gave birth to a girl and the delivery was a hassle free one. One more couple (Peravali Vasis Cheruvu Vishwanatha Sharma couple) also got blessed similarly. Once this came to be known all over many people started flocking to get the'Theerthabhoothulu'.
