Very happy Dwarakagaru,

Since long back, my kid is asking me to create a separate userID, for some questions she needs to discuss with(directly)you. But as per our forum rules...only 18 or up can enroll...so i've denied. She is 9, should i create a separate id for her?.....

Hello Dwaraka uncle,
My name is Srusti I'm 9 years old.I always wanted to participate in this forum. And I wanted to ask you many questions about Sai baba.I don't know that much about Sai master. My mom did tell me that Sai baba and Sai master are the same. That's why I want to know more about Sai master.
One of my questions about Sai baba is:He gives us so much things like money, clothes, and houses, how come he was so poor,he didn't even have a real home?

Jai Sai Master !

Welcome the forums Srusti :) Its nice to see young turks take the lead !

Great great question ! Dear Srusti, even I might be wrong so keep your brain wide open and dont take for granted the things that I say :)

Srusti what do we mean when we say Baba was poor. According to us, Baba dint have a home. He wore torn kafni. He used to beg for food and used to demand dakshina.

But on the other side we see that He dint want to have a home. He dint want to have nice clothes. He was unconcerned for the delicious food offered to Him. Also He never did buy anything for Himself from the money He got.

On one hand we see that Baba loves us so much that HE gives us money, clothes and houses that we want. But on the other side we see that HE really cares nothing for those things!

You might see many rich people in our society today. Even if they are earning a lot, can they give everything to others ? So all the rich people in our society too have wants. But did Baba have any desires , anything that He wanted ?

So Baba was poor the way we see Him, but He knew that He had the real wealth. He was poor because He dint want all these things. He was poor because He knew that Allah was there to take for Him. Just like you and other kids have full faith that parents will give you food, money and house, HE had much greater faith that Allah was there for Him. If Allah was there for Him, why would He want all those things ?

Unfortunately we are not in a position to trust Allah in the same way. Yet out of infinite love for us, Baba gives us all these things, hoping that we would also one day leave everything the way He was able to do :)

Jai Sai Master !

PS: My answer might or might not be correct. I know youngsters are smart lot these days, but inspite of that if I happen to confuse them with the language or the content, please forgive me Baba. Jai Sai Master !

Very nice to meet you too  uncle Asterias, you said that Allah gives things to Sai baba and he gives them to us, so that means that Allah is more superior than Saibaba but we believe that Saibaba is more superior than anybody else. Then which one is the most superior ?

Why did Saibaba believe that Allah was always there for him ?

I'm thinking that if you are rich and you don't give anything to others that means that you are not really rich, right uncle ? So that means Saibaba is very rich right ?Because he gives things to others.

Uncle you said that it's nice to see young turks to take the lead, what do you mean by  calling me a turk ?

But you said that Saibaba never needed food or clothes, but if one of his devotees gave him food or clothes why does he accept it ?

Thank you so much for answering my questions Uncle :).

Jai Sai Master, Babu garu..
Jai Sai Master, Sai Bandhus..

Jai Sai Master, Srusti..

It is a very nice name. More nicer are your questions.

I was wondering if I can try to answer your question and so I started typing now. I will do that to the best of my ability Srusti.

Both Asterias and Swarup are correct. I am only trying to see if I can give examples to their answers.

Definitely, there is no difference between Allah and Baba. Baba only appears in various forms so that we can recognize Him.

For example, you are in various roles for your relatives and friends. You are a daughter to your mom and dad. you are a grand daughter to your grand parents. If you have a brother or sister, then you are a brother or sister accordingly. And you are a friend to all your friends. See? you have so many roles to play. Now, imagine one more interesting situation. A new student joins the class in your school. But you don't know her. So what do you do? You have to talk to her, know her likes and dislikes and then share yours and then you become one more friend (a role) to her.

As you can see, if you can play so many roles, imagine the all-powerful Baba playing many many other roles and that is only for you and me to recognize Him. Just like a new friend, can we recognize Allah as it is?? We need to know Allah. Right?? And so, Allah came to Earth in the form of Baba. So, there is no difference between Baba and Allah.

Even Baba says that Allah is powerful. That is because, like Swarup said, to be humble to all beings and also because Baba knows that we cannot recognize Allah by ourselves with our simple eyes. For this I will give you one more example.

Let us say, your bedroom has a bulb holder which can hold only 100 watts bulb and not more than that. Now, if you put 150 watts bulb in the holder, the bulb is going to explode. In the same way, Allah is powerful and we cannot see Allah if we don't increase our power. So, Baba comes to us in various forms to increase our power. We just need to keep on praying Him.

I hope I did not confuse you Srusti.

But don't hesitate to ask more questions.

Regards to all,
Jai Sai Master!

Ananth

Jai Sai Master!

Dearest srusti,

Really great questions!

Both Asterias and Swarup gave great answers and Ananth gave good examples.

I only thought I would mention a couple of things.

Firstly, Baba is not JUST a human, like us. He is all around us. He is everything that we can see, including ourselves!! But we only see Him in that body because of our ignorance. Rishis see Him in all. Baba is Allah is God, no difference.

But Baba took that human form for us, so that we can approach Him and understand His teachings and serve Him. And also to show us how we can be, if we follow what Guru says.

Devotees used to give Baba a lot of things. But Baba gave it all for others! He used to get a lot of money, but by sunfall, Baba used to share it among others and will not keep anything for Himself. Many people gave Him lots of cloths, but those too, He used to give away and wear a Kafni. He used to change a Kafni once in years. Same with food. Even though devotees were giving Him everything, He was giving it off.

But the right question is, why? Do you know why?

Why did Baba not need anything? How could He be happy without many costly clothes, without a good house, with only little food that He used to beg?? Why are we not happy even when we have all of them and still want more? Why dont we get happy even if we get new toys, new cloths and still want more?

To understand Baba's greatness, we have to understand that. To understand how to lead life correctly, we need to understand these first. I know you can figure it out. Just think, why do we want more and more things (toys, icecreams, etc) everyday but never get happy even after getting them and still want more??

Jai Sai Master!!

Thank you Dwaraka, Asterias,Swarup, and Ananth uncle for answering my questions and thank you Ananth uncle for explaining things to me. Dwaraka uncle I thought hard for the answer to your question :Why dont we get happy even if we get new toys, new cloths and still want more? Well the first thing that popped in my head was selfishness and greedyness, then I thought some more, the final thing that popped in my head is unsatisfaction.I'm thinking that is the correct answer, is it???

I'm thinking that it is unsatisfaction because if someone has a birthday party and the person that has the birthday wants something and they don't get it  >:(  they want that so badly they don't pay attention to the other gifts that they got, even though they got so many gifts they still want that gift ,that is unsatisfaction.

Jai Sai Master.

Dear Srusti,

Are you getting ready for the Spring break?

We read your explanation about unsatisfaction. That is very true.

We add one thing here about what Baba expects from the similar occasions like Birthday parties.

During Sri Rama Navami, many devotees were surrounding Baba and offered so many food items but Baba asked a devotee Shyama to go out and bring prasadam from a old man. Shyama looked for the old man outside ( looking unclean with many flies around him )and brought him to Baba. Baba blessed the old man and took what old man had.

We learnt from this that what is more important is pure love. Baba had so many tasty foods infront of Him but Baba enquired about the old man and accepted what the old man had.

Assume that day was Baba's birthday. Why Baba did not look for any gifts like us in spite of having so many gifts in front of Him ? and why Baba took from the old man whatever he had?

Have a wonderful spring break!!

Jai Sai Master.
Jai Sai Master.

Thank you Saiuttampallavi uncle ,
I WILL have a wonderful Spring break :). Sorry it took me so long to give you a reply because I totally forgot to give you a reply. The answer to the question,
Quote
Why Baba took from the old man whatever he had?
is that Baba took whatever the old man had because the old man was giving whatever he had with love, all the other people where giving him things with wishes in mind. They were thinking that if they gave Baba something he would give them something in return.
"We should not bother about a wish that Baba did not fulfill because we should believe that he did it for our own good. We need strong faith in Baba to believe that he does things for our own good."

Jai Sai Master!!

Dear Srusti,

good answer. It is unsatisfaction for the most part. However, look at the world around you. It seems like everyone has that unsatisfaction. They keep running after things, even after not getting satisfaction from any of them!! Especially adults!

Isnt life boring if one is totally unsatisfied with anything one gets and so keeps on running after new things till he dies?

Everyone dies of oldage. we all but have a limited time here in these bodies with these relationships. How should one spend this time? Happily, right? But why not anyone really really getting long lasting happiness?

If we look around, the only people that have happiness are Mahatmas. Isnt it?

Now who is better? A person with millions of dollars and lots of diseases and no happiness? or a person who doesnt care what he has but is happy always?

Jai Sai Master!
