Its ok uncle, I'm not in a immediate rush.  I  won't have any homework on it yet....... I'm just thinking aloud......

Amma drew a picture of a plant cell now....from that I've learned that cell (nucleus, cytoplasm, cell membrane, mitochondria, vacuole etc...) is made up of atoms. So cells are the bigger building blocks and atoms are the smaller building blocks that make the bigger building blocks (cells). I'll discuss this in detail with Amma tomorrow, and you can write me a more detailed message on this weekend.......

bye,
Srusti.

Yes uncle, i learned them in brief.

Actually when i brought my 1000pages science book home, I browsed through it. After about a week, my reading teacher assigned us a science book scavenger hunt, where she told us to find certain points in the book. My school asked the publishers of 5books to put them together, to make my science book, which consists of 5books.

On the cell section of the book, it talked about many interesting topics like cells, genetics,DNA, hereditary, mutations modern genetics, cloning everything. Among all mutations are the coolest, and cloning too.

Mutations remained me of ' Spiderman' in the movie, they show the DNA strands change after the radioactive spider bit Peter(future spiderman). we see some of the helix braking and being substituted by the spider's DNA helix. I like Spiderman!  I like mutations and cloning part. But i really dont know much about them. But I like the scientific part of it. They take one cell nucleus and produce another creature. Scientists are so cool.

tell me more uncle.

Dear Srusti,
I am glad you are enjoying cell biology. As always my recommendation is learn step by step.... before, mutations and cloning, clearly understand differences between what is chromatin, chromosomes,  genome, genes, nucleus... and functions of individual organelles in cell..... there are 18-20 words/organelles/parts of cell you have to learn. Take your time and learn slowly, but learn clearly ... when ever you are ready write them up and let me know if you learnt all of them.....

Swarup Uncle,

Sorry, I haven't been logging on to the forum....... Been busy lately........

Uncle,I have some doubts about the sky and oceans.

Why is the sky blue?

I thought that the atoms and molecules in the sky made it blue, but i found out there isn't any thing in the sky.

So what is sky?

Does earth have only one sky? It does doesn't it?

How come if we are traveling in a car, it seems as if the sun, if it's daytime, and moon, if it's nighttime, are following you (unless you take a turn because that changes the direction)??

Why are the oceans blue??

Was our moon and our Sun there at the beginning of the Earth??

Is it true that there are different suns? and is it true that our sun will go out and a new sun will form? How does a sun form and how do they go out??

What are black holes? How do they form? Are they made out of a invisible force?Do black holes have swirly thingies that go round and round?? Is it's vortex black? What happens to an object when it goes into a black hole? Does it immediately destruct or does it take some time? How does it destruct?  Do black holes really suck up things that are around it? Who first discovered black holes? Is a black hole like a tornado except the black hole is in outer space? How many black holes are there??

I'm really pondering about all these questions.
