Correcting kids

Jai Sai Master!

Everyday after bath, my son goes to Puja room, he says Jai Sai Dattatreya Baba,....Then comes Jai Sai Master, Jai Sai Bharadwaja Baba, Jai Sai Ammagaru...

For the last 1 month, instead of saying Jai Sai Master, he says Jai Sai Monster..He thinks it's funny and I tried to correct him and then started ignoring. He correctly says Jai Sai Bharadwaja Baba, Jai Sai Ammagaru...Again he some times says, Jai Sai Mommy, Jai Sai Daddy...and so on...

How can I correct him, especially with Jai Sai Monster(I'm not as offended when he says Jai Sai Mommy, Jai Sai Daddy)? Please advise.

Jai Sai Master!

Jai Sai Master.

Varsha garu,

I think you are doing good in ignoring those words. My son is 4 now and he finds some words funny to pronounce. At this age everything is funny to them.

Almost same way we encourage our son to go to Baba, Master garu, Amma garu to offer namaskarams every morning and also before going to bed. Currently we are not insisting on saying anything. He pronounces Jai Sai Master, Jai Sai Ram properly. Thanks to Guru Bandhus who have suggested us to treat Baba, Master garu, Amma garu as parents and kids will also love Them as much as our parents. It takes some time. Usually we keep any new thing ( toys, books he likes ....) in front of Master garu, Amma garu and tells our son to thank Them for giving those things. We make it in a humble way so that he feels thankful towards Baba, Master garu, Amma garu.

While leaving to school also he says vellostanu Master garu, Amma garu. Sometimes he inspires us when we forget telling Baba, he calls us back. What we learnt so far is we as parents become the role models to our children. At times kids do inspire us a lot with their innocent love. Personally not insisting on saying anything in particular. We believe slowly with the time he understands the meaning of Jai Sai Master and he says himself one day.

Jai Sai Master.
