very very interesting video about the greatness of vedas!!

Jai Sai Master, Babu garu!
Jai Sai Master, Sai Bandhus!

I accidentally encountered a very interesting article about the Vedas and its existence (not that I doubt it, but these videos were made by foriegners) and its relation to all the branches of the modern world.

There are 3 videos each of 9 minutes. Please do see it at leisure.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rY4Q2xx7BTc&mode=related&search= (first video)

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=G2vhCPBjqcA&mode=related&search= (second video)

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FMlisMg4VPo&mode=related&search= (third video)

http://hinduism.suite101.com/blog.cfm/saraswati_the_lost_river (this url features a couple of rivers with their modern names that were mentioned by Sri Guru in Sri Guru Charitra like "sathadru, asikni etc" )

Regards,
Jai Sai Master!

PS: the best thing about these videos is, it strongly rejects the German's theory that they are the aryans, with scientific views.

Jai Sai Master!

Interesting it is.. but accurate its not!

Historic proof that this guy is trying to show sounds accurate, but what he doesnt understand is that vedas were Expounded verbally before being written down. One more thing is something I cant understand is its reconcilation with Baba's statements and statements of Gurucharitra. But still, leaving that aside, this guy is trying to show rythms as maths algorithms. Algorithms are nothing but methods of deciphering, where as ragas and rythms are representations of universal patterns.

One more thing I dont like is that he is attributing the power of Mantras with sounds. The power of Mantras lies in the invoker's level of Anushthana and purity and not in sound. This fellow completely misses the point. Master's explaination of the power and authenticity of Mantras can be found in Pakalapati Guruvugari Charitra.

But anyways,  some nice references to rivers, as you said, some nice references to Vedas and what some other scholors said is not bad. But again, these kinds of half knowledge videos give a chance to people to  question the authority of Vedas.
