Dear Gorthi garu,

My husband recently visited Shiridi and Nampalli baba and took their darshan and blessings, with the help of information you have provided(I have guided him through phone, thanks to technology)...I am really thankful for that.....I asked Nampalli baba for something and that was exactly gifted to my husband, by a devotee there....its a sure sign that 'he' is in me just like Baba...what to do my stupid mind can not accept any thing that easily.

Anyway thanks a lot.

btw.....I got a nice book of Nampalli Baba from Shiridi

Bhagavan Sri Venkaiah Swami vari Samadhi
« Reply #25 on: October 23, 2012, 02:24:33 AM »
Jai Sai Master.

Where is it Located?
Bhagavan Sri Venkaiah Swami vari Asramam
Golagamudi - 524 321
Nellore District
Andhra Pradesh

How to Reach There?
Golagamudi is small village. The nearby city to Golagamudi is Nellore. Nellore is well connected both by bus & train routes.
For example, here is the list of trains passing through Nellore: http://travel.sulekha.com/nellore-trains.htm
Golagamudi is about 12 km from Nellore. From Nellore Railway Station, you can directly engage an auto to Golagamudi and Autowala would charge you anywhere from 60 to 100 Rupees. If you can, go to RTC Bus Stand by shared Auto (5 Rupees per head) and from there the buses are available almost at every 1 hour. Even from RTC Bus Stand shared autos (10 Rupees per head) are available or an auto can be engaged at 60 to 80 Rupees.

How about Accommodation & Food?
Bhagavan Sri Venkaiah vari Ashram Number is: 0861 - 2161105. You can call them and try to book the rooms in advance specifying them the number of days & dates. They have both AC & non-AC rooms, and those rooms are in general comfortable. In case you are not able to contact them before going there, you can go to the Ashram office after arriving Golagamudi and enquire for the rooms. There are couple of seva trusts also in Golagamudi where you can stay for free of cost. However, there are no individual rooms as such in some of those trusts, but lockers are available. You can keep your baggage in the lockers and fresh up. You can also sleep there at nights in common halls (separate for men & women). In case you prefer having individual rooms, but did not manage to get in the Ashram, there are some hotels in Golagamudi itself; or else you have to stay in Nellore and and need to commute from there.

Swami Vari Prasadm (lunch & dinner!) is served (free of cost) at Swami vari Ashramam. In special cases like, if you are obsessed about food-hygiene, or if you have some specific dietary-requirements, there are not much options within Golagamudi; in that case you may have to stay at Nellore and commute from there.

About the Swami vari Samadhi Mandiram:
Samadhi Mandiram opens     4 AM
Abhishekam                         4AM
Morning Pooja                      5AM and 11AM

Mandiram closed                  2 PM to 4 PM

Reopens                              4 PM
Evening Pooja                      6:30AM
Mandiram closes                  9 PM
(Mandiram closes at 9 PM on all days except on Sundays & Thursdays. On those two days, Mandiram is open throughout night. Pallaki Seva to Swami is performed on those two days)

About Places to Visit in Golagamudi
(1) The Samadhi Mandiram of Swami
(2) Swami vari Dhuni
(3) Samdhis of Swami vari sevakulu.
All these 3 places are within the same compound.
(4) Swami vari kuTiramu
This is just opposite to the Samadhi Mandiram.

Fortunately, in Golagamudi, we can offer ourselves directly, coconuts, dry sticks, cow-ghee, Agarbatti, sambhraNi, camphor, nava dhanyas etc. to Swami vari dhuni. We can get coconuts & dry sticks in the stalls opposite to Temple. If you want to buy nava-dhanyas, ghee etc, they are available in some of the kirana shops that are there in the same street. We can of course also bring from home things like "rice by doing namasmarana" (I mean to say - నామస్మరణ చేసిన బియ్యము!) and offer them to Dhuni with our own hands! Swami varu used to say about dhuni that, "అయ్యా, ఇక్కడ జరిగేది కోటిలింగాల పూజగదయ్యా."

We can do Pradakshinas to dhuni when the rush is not much. We can also do pradakshinas to temple (both Samadhi mandiram + dhuni). The temple is very much full during Saturdays. In that case, you can also do pradakshinas in Swami vari kuTiramu.

The sacred thread of Bhagavan Sri Venkaiah Swami varu is given in Swami vari kuTiramu. In case you want more sacred-thread (స్వామివారి దారం) in order to keep for future and/or distribute to friends, you can simply buy a reel of thread outside, and when you go for the darshan of Samadhi Mandiram, request the Pujarigaru, to touch the thread to Swami Samadhi (స్వామివారి సమాధికి దారపు-ఉండ తాకించి ఇవ్వమని అడుగవచ్చును).

Jai Sai Master.

Can you pl explain this, I didn't understand నామస్మరణ చేసిన బియ్యము means what, is it that you repeat Swami's/Baba's name and count the same by each grain of rice and whatever rice collected you offer at samadhi ? Just my guess, sorry if Iam totally wrong

Wow....gorthi garu, I got a nice feeling after I read your post. I just felt like I was right there in venkayya tata gari sannidhi in golagamudi.

I dont know the reason but i really really like venkayya tata very much among all(master mentioned avadhutas).

thanks for digging out that thread vallibhuvan garu.

I request Admin people to copy that message of dwarakagaru in this thread, so that we can have all info at one place.

You guessed it right swayam garu. We generally do that for temple occasions and gather all the grains and hand over those to the priest so that he can take care of the rest. We (my family) keep a special vessel for that and we take some grains and chant what ever nama we like and collect all those in that special vessel and we generally make sweet out of those and offer some to baba and birds,we partake some and distribute to friends....I dont know whether it is correct way or not, but we generally do that.

Jillellamudi Amma Samadhi
« Reply #28 on: November 08, 2012, 10:50:32 PM »

Jai Sai Master.

I haven't yet got the opportunity to visit Jillellamudi Amma. The details compiled in this post are simply based on the information collected from multiple internet sources. In case any of you are aware of further details, please do add them...

Where is it Located?
Sree Viswajanani Parishat
Jillellamudi PO 522 113
Bapatla Mandalm
Guntur District, AP

How to Reach There?
The nearest railway station to Jillellamudi village is Bapatla. Baptla is located in the train route between Vijayawada and Chennai, ~75 km from Vijayawada. Here is the list of trains from Vijayawada to Bapatla: http://indiarailinfo.com/search/29/420
Motorable road from Bapatla to Jillellamudi - a distance of 13 Kms; I don't know if there are bus services from Bapatla to Jillellamudi. Otherwise, tempo/taxi can be hired from Bapatla to Jillellamudi (might cost around 200/- for Taxi, 80/- for Tempo).

Relatively expensive but more comfortable alternative is to directly hire a Taxi from Vijayawada to Jillellamudi (~90 km), and here is the probable route map: http://goo.gl/maps/LWk30

How about Accommodation & Food?
Accomodation at Jillellamudi is available on prior request at "Sree Viswajanani Parishat". Limited free accommodation is available. Rooms with AC & attached toilets are also available at a nominal price. The request can be made either by filling an online request form (http://www.jillellamudiamma.org/svjp/index.php/contact/accommodation-request), or through email (svjp.amma@gmail.com). They can also be contacted via phone (+91-8643-2273324, +91-8643-2227492).
I am sorry, don't want to mention anything about food when going to mother's lap :P

Few years back, a second edition of this book (edited by publishers, added additional material) is available from Viswajanani Trust, Hyderabad (176 pages, 25 X 9 in). When we ordered the book couple of years back through flipkart web page, cost of Indian edition was: Rs.195, and costs of international editions were $14.95, ?12.95.
