meaning of some Mantras!
« on: June 12, 2007, 11:08:25 PM »
Jai Sai Master, Babu garu..
Jai Sai Master, Sai Bandhus..

Can you please explain the meaning of the following 5 words ?

1) "Samartha" as in "Samartha Sadguru".

"Samarhta" means, "all-powerful", "all-knowing" and "does everything at the same time (moment)". Is this correct?

2) "om Kevalaaya Namaha"

3) "Om Viroopaaya Namaha"

4) "Om Viroopaakshaaya Namaha"

5) "Om Drugroopaaya Namaha"

Regards,

Ananth

Jai Sai Master.

It means that capability of being Sadguru.
Samardha Literally means, someone who stands for the word of Sadguru.

Kevalaya= simply existing.
Viroopaaya = No form.(like Energy in wave form which is Invisible).
Viroopakshaya = Who is looking at (feeling) the above said formless state.
Drugrupaya = State/Form which we can see.

In total they describe God as, Just existing just becuase he wished and having a form less state as well as visible form state, and one who is looking or feeling those states of existance.

It is also said like, One part of him has being the enery and the other part stays as consciousness which is experiencing the Energy nature. This energy is actually formless but appears as a form or object for us due to relativity.

In purusha sooktham rahasyam,
"Paadosya Viswabhootani, Tripaadaasyamritam divi..."
meaning, the creation happened from one part of him...

I got few doubts,
1.Sakala Sidda sevithaya namaha Vs Sakala Siddi sevithaya namaha.(Sidda vs Siddi)
2.Chidagni kundaaya

Jai Sai Master.

Jai Sai Master!!

Samartha meaning.. Sam+artha .. one who is the purest desire, fulfilment of which fulfils everything.. Samartha also means "Able" and "All powerful" as you wrote. It also means "Sam Artha".. one who has all He desires.

Kevalaya -- Kevala means "The only thing".. From this word comes "Kaivalyam".. kevalaya means, one who is the only existing being.. the only existance... or pure existance.

Viroopaya --- Viroopa means without roopam or form. meaning "Form less". also means "endless".

Viroopaksha -- means Viroopa + Aksha.. the Formless witness.. The formless eye.. One whose eyes are formless, one who sees everything while still being unattatched to forms.

Dhrugroopaya -- "Dhruk" means "see".. Dhrugroopam means, the roopam of the seer.. The eye that sees the eye.. the seer behind the eye.. He is the "Seeing" and also the "Seer".. "Drusyaya" means one who is the "Seen".. Thus He is the seer, seeing and the seen.

Sakala Siddha Sevita means, one who is served by All the Siddhas and Mahatmas..
Sakala Siddhi Sevita means, One who is served by all states of existance.. all states and powers.. Siddhi means to attain, to procure, state of existance.. thus, One who is served by all states of existance, having all the powers, one who is everything and so being one who has attained everything by creating them all..

Namaskaram Dwarakanath Garu and sai bandhus

I don't know the meaning of Namas in ashttothara shathanaamaavali. What my request is, if any one posts atleast one Nama per day (In serial order) with its meaning, it would be really helpful.

Please consider my request.

Namaskaram Dwarakanath Garu

Sir, recently, i recieved Master Gari books through Raju garu. I have the book SAINAATHA POOJA. But because of my lack of knowledge, i don't know the inner meaning of some words like Para Brahma, Sarva samarthudu, Praana shakthi, anumayam, vishwadeha  and so on....

My doubts are like, what is the diff. between Brahma and Parabrahma; Samarthudu and sarva samarthudu.

This is my problem sir. Please guide me. Thank you.

Jai Sai Master!

Well, if thats the case, then the only way is to look for meanings online or reading "Bhashyams" of Shankara and others to see how they tackled certain words and improving Sanskrit knowlege. Or by asking some Sanskrit professor  about them. But to understand the true meanings, only a Sadguru can give. Many meanings can be found hidden in Master's writings.

You can post them here and we can try and look up their meanings.
