Meaning of "Digambara"
« on: November 05, 2007, 09:00:10 PM »
Jai Sai Master, Babu garu..
Jai Sai Master, Sai Bandhus..

Babu garu,

Please forigve me if I am asking an old question, as I wanted to go back to basics and understand them again for some reiteration.

Can you please explain, 1) The meaning of "Digambara" (in terms of Datta Saampradayam) and 2) the importance of "Digambartwamu" (did I term it right?), again in terms of Datta Saamradaayamu.

Regards to YOU and all the Sai Bandhus,

Jai Sai Master!

Jai Sai Master.

Sai Bandhus,

From Pariprasna by Pujya Sri Bharadwaja Mastergaru:

Digambara means "Anni Dikkulanu Vastramuluga Dharinchinavaaru" ani artham.

Jai gurudatta!jai saimaster!

One meaning of digambara...means dikkule ambaramulugaa(vasramulu or cloths) galavaadu. why dikkulu or directions(East,ne, north...etc) only...because they have some significance...right?

How it is possible to present in all directions..it is not possible...but it is possible.... if only if he is present every where...omnipresent

But how this omnipresent possible...only if, he is every thing...how he is every thing....only if...he is residing in each and everything(living and non living thing)...what he will by doing this....he knows everything...he became sarwagnudu(omnipotent)....again we are coming to master's sayings....Guruve viswam, guruvukanyamgaa marokati ledu.

Am i confusing.....hope not :D.

just imagine how srimannarayanudu...became everything, EVERYTHING while Hiranyakasapudu asking Prhlada to show HARI in a pillar...
just like the same manner he is present everywhere.

In another meaning of digambara is nakedness...

Dwarakagaru correct me if i write any irrelevant here....
