JAI SAI MASTER BABU GARU
JAI SAI MASTER GURU BANDHUS

Iam new to this forum

Quote
If an OBE or NDE is a hallucination, one that is similar to Drug induced one, then it has peculiar characteristics. Its effects wear out. It remains a novelty, but nothing more. It does not bring about a profound change in the person's outlook. Hallucinations, in this context, are defined by the scientific community as 'imaginary extensions of reality'. That however is a misnomer. Anyways, the other characteristic of hallucinations is the profound disconnect of such an experience with common reality. Usually, drug induced hallucinations are 'detached' experiences, which are entirely disconnected, and hence cannot explain or cannot connect with, the normal everyday life.

Can anybody please elaborate on this?

what is meant by OBE and NDE?

But thanks to Master garu, He collected all Baba's sayings and put it in order so that the sayings are logical. So, when we look at Baba's picture and think that He is angry, and then we think the above (Mother never gets angry with her kid), Master also reminds us that Baba also told us "kaani meeru talli ki tagga biddalu kandi". Then we come to know that WE ARE NOT, and that is why His looks are angry. We haven't yet done what we should do to make our MOTHER Baba happy.

Jai Sai Master, Babu garu..
Jai Sai Master, Sai Bandhus..

Priya garu, Jai Sai Master..

We are all travelling in the same boat Priya garu. It is very tough to even get a grip on why we are not the kids of Sai Baba. Sometimes, we get an inkling and then we go extra mile to remove those "negativities" but again, we fall into the same pit over and over. I definitely don't know how w can come out of it.

But one thing though. When you cry and others say you are crazy, don't even care for them. Like I said in my other post. It requires clarity and bravery to cry in front of God. If we cannot cry in front of God, then we are cheating ourselves. We are travelling in the garb of "toughness" while inside, we are NOT. I have come to know from my mom who heard from some of the satsangam members in Amma gari sannidhi, that Amma garu used to say, "we should always be like kids in front of mahatmas. No pretentions". Kids always laugh, cry, they do everything natural and they dont care where they are. Obviously, we cannot do that but Amma garu says that we should try to be like that.

So, when you cry in front of Baba and someone says you are crazy, the only best thing to do is don't let it touch your heart.

Best regards,
Jai Sai Master!

Jai Sai Master!

If one can overcome all weaknesses and ends up living a life that Baba likes, what more does one need? But is it possible for people like us? Is it justified to expect it?

The point is that, do we put in enough efforts or not is what matters. Do we try hard enough, repent hard enough and pray hard enough is what matters.

By the way, when I said "is it possible", I certainly dont mean that it is impossible. It is quite possible, only we need to apply ourselves to the task at hand properly.

How should we? Why ask me? There are so many greats that have given us enough to do. Sri RamaKrishna, Sri Ramana, Sri Vivekananda, Sri Sai, Sri Swami Samartha and ofcourse, my beloved Master E.B., have all given us directions.

Careful study of their teachings (not mindless reading) gives us quite direct answers.

Rather than worry that we are not able to become 'Talliki tagga biddalu', I suggest we all buck up and get to becoming such. May the Master bless us all. Indeed who else can, since He is the One that is!

If it is of any help, taken from

The Complete Works of Swami Vivekananda/Volume 2/Practical Vedanta and other lectures/Practical Vedanta: Part IV

Quote
Do not blame any supernatural being, neither be hopeless and despondent, nor think we are in a place from which we can never escape unless someone comes and lends us a helping hand. That cannot be, says the Vedanta. We are like silkworms; we make the thread out of our own substance and spin the cocoon, and in course of time are imprisoned inside. But this is not for ever. In that cocoon we shall develop spiritual realisation, and like the butterfly come out free. This network of Karma we have woven around ourselves; and in our ignorance we feel as if we are bound, and weep and wail for help. But help does not come from without; it comes from within ourselves. Cry to all the gods in the universe. I cried for years, and in the end I found that I was helped. But help came from within. And I had to undo what I had done by mistake. That is the only way. I had to cut the net which I had thrown round myself, and the power to do this is within. Of this I am certain that not one aspiration, well-guided or ill-guided in my life, has been in vain, but that I am the resultant of all my past, both good and evil. I have committed many mistakes in my life; but mark you, I am sure of this that without every one of those mistakes I should not be what I am today, and so am quite satisfied to have made them. I do not mean that you are to go home and wilfully commit mistakes; do not misunderstand me in that way. But do not mope because of the mistakes you have committed, but know that in the end all will come out straight. It cannot be otherwise, because goodness is our nature, purity is our nature, and that nature can never be destroyed. Our essential nature always remains the same.

The Complete Works of Swami Vivekananda/Volume 1/Raja-Yoga/Patanjali's Yoga Aphorisms - Concentration: Its Spiritual Uses

Quote
It is said, "Habit is second nature", it is first nature also, and the whole nature of man; everything that we are is the result of habit. That gives us consolation, because, if it is only habit, we can make and unmake it at any time. The Samskaras are left by these vibrations passing out of our mind, each one of them leaving its result. Our character is the sum-total of these marks, and according as some particular wave prevails one takes that tone. If good prevails, one becomes good; if wickedness, one becomes wicked; if joyfulness, one becomes happy. The only remedy for bad habits is counter habits; all the bad habits that have left their impressions are to be controlled by good habits. Go on doing good, thinking holy thoughts continuously; that is the only way to suppress base impressions. Never say any man is hopeless, because he only represents a character, a bundle of habits, which can be checked by new and better ones. Character is repeated habits, and repeated habits alone can reform character.

Jai Sai Master!

A great point. Very deep.

Quote

The question is regarding reforming character. Not being 'free' without character, one must remember when reading the above statement. Thus, no contradiction to JK.

The idea, once again I repeat, is to reform character so that one can be serious and aware and awake enough to be 'free' without any limitations. Hence, the theory is complete.
